【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthequantitativedeterminationofthecarbonnumberdistributionofpetroleumwaxesintherangefromn-Cthroughn-Cbygaschromatographyusinginternalstandardization.Inaddition,thecontentofnormalandnon-normalhydrocarbonsforeachcarbonnumberisalsodetermined.Materialwithacarbonnumberaboven-Cisdeterminedbyitsdifferencefrom100mass%andreportedasC.Thistestmethodisapplicabletopetroleumderivedwaxes,includingblendsofwaxes.Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletooxygenatedwaxes,suchassyntheticpolyethylenegloycols(forexample,Carbowax),ornaturalproductssuchasbeeswaxorcarnauba.Thistestmethodisnotdirectlyapplicabletowaxeswithoilcontentgreaterthan10%asdeterminedbyTestMethodD721.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoconsultandestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
