【摘要】:1.1Thistestmethodcoversraveledstripandcutstriptestproceduresfordeterminingthebreakingforceandelongationofmosttextilefabrics.Provisionismadeforwettesting.1.1.1Theraveledstriptestisapplicabletowovenfabricswhilethecutstriptestisapplicabletononwovenfabrics,feltedfabrics,anddippedorcoatedfabrics.1.2Thistestmethodisnotrecommendedforknittedfabricsorforothertextilefabricswhichhavehighstretch(morethan11%).Note1Forthedeterminationofthebreakingforceandelongationoftextilefabricsusingthegrabtestandmodifiedgrabtestprocedures,refertoTestMethodD5034.Note2Fordeterminationofthebreakingforceandelongationofsomespecifictypesoffabricswhichusethestriptest,refertoSpecificationsD579andD580.1.3Thistestmethodshowsthevaluesinbothinch-poundunitsandSIunits.Inch-poundunitsisthetechnicallycorrectnameforthecustomaryunitsusedintheUnitedStates.SIunitsisthetechnicallycorrectnameforthesystemofmetricunitsknownastheInternationalSystemofUnits.Thevaluesstatedineitheracceptablemetricunitsorinotherunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesexpressedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombininginanyway.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
