【摘要】:Datafromcreepandcreep-rupturetestsarenecessarytopredictthecreepmodulusandstrengthofmaterialsunderlong-termloadsandtopredictdimensionalchangesthatmayoccurasaresultofsuchloads.Datafromthesetestmethodscanbeused:(1)tocomparematerials,(2)inthedesignoffabricatedparts,(3)tocharacterizeplasticsforlong-termperformanceunderconstantload,and(4)undercertainconditions,forspecificationpurposes.Beforeproceedingwiththistestmethod,referenceshouldbemadetothespecificationofthematerialbeingtested.Anyspecimenpreparation,conditioning,dimensions,and/ortestingparameterscoveredinthematerialspecificationshalltakeprecedenceoverthosementionedinthistestmethod,exceptincaseswheretodosowouldconflictwiththepurposeforconductingtesting.Iftherearenomaterialspecifications,thenthedefaultconditionsapply.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationoftensileandcompressivecreepandcreep-ruptureofplasticsunderspecifiedenvironmentalconditions(see3.1.3).1.2Whilethesetestmethodsoutlinetheuseofthree-pointloadingformeasurementofcreepinflexure,four-pointloading(whichisusedlessfrequently)canalsobeusedwiththeequipmentandprinciplesasoutlinedinTestMethodsD790.1.3Formeasurementsofcreep-rupture,tensionisthepreferredstressmodebecauseforsomeductileplasticsrupturedoesnotoccurinflexureorcompression.1.4Testdataobtainedbythesetestmethodsarerelevantandappropriateforuseinengineeringdesign.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Aspecificwarningstatementisgivenin6.8.2.Note18212;ThisstandardandISO899aresimilarincontent,butarenotequivalent.
