【摘要】:Stressisappliedaspressureovertheareaoftheflatjack.Inthecaseofmulti-wythemasonry,stressisestimatedonlyinthewytheinwhichtheflatjackisinserted.Stressinotherwythesmaybedifferent.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheaveragecompressivestressinexistingunreinforcedsolid-unitmasonry(seeNote1).Thistestmethodconcernsthemeasurementofin-situcompressivestressinexistingmasonrybyuseofthin,bladder-likeflatjackdevicesthatareinstalledinsawcutmortarjointsinthemasonrywall.Thistestmethodprovidesarelativelynon-destructivemeansofdeterminingmasonrypropertiesinplace.Note18212;Solid-unitmasonryisthatbuiltwithstone,concrete,orclayunitswhosenetareaisequaltoorgreaterthan75%ofthegrossarea.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
